Impressions

This is another film that was shot in a brief amount of time. It was intended to be the beginning of a series of short sketch films produced by 4LazyGuys featuring local writers and actors before the production company decided to go in a different direction. This gave me my first real taste of location filming and the sheer amount of re-shooting and filming from different angles and distances that a single scene requires. It also really drove home how important consistency throughout each shot was. I wish that we had spent extra time making sure we got just the right shots. The film would have benefited from some extra shooting time. I noticed during filming that I was holding back. I had certain impulses that I wouldn’t allow myself to follow through with. It’s an issue I’ve had in past productions and definitely something that I need to work on moving forward.
